Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) appointed Katie Kania to its newly created National Director of Sales role in Canada.  Kania will lead the Canadian regional sales and marketing management team while also working closely with key partners.

“Since joining NCL in 2019, Katie has been an incredible asset to the sales team in Canada,  said Derek Lloyd, vice president of North America sales. “Her knowledge of the product and long-term strategic planning has been impressive. I have full confidence in Katie’s abilities to lead the team and continue to expand NCL’s sales within the country.”

Kania brings 10 years of travel industry expertise and is well-positioned to continue fostering the growth of NCL within the Canadian market, having spent the last five years with the Company.

“I am thrilled to step into this next chapter with NCL, and looking forward to building on our Partners First commitment across Canada with our incredible regional sales & marketing managers as we look ahead to the launch of Norwegian Aqua in 2025,” said Katie Kania, director of sales in Canada.

“Canada is absolutely critical to NCL’s overall sales strategy for North America,” said John Chernesky, senior vice president of North America sales. “By having a dedicated national director, it further demonstrates our commitment to the market, and recognition of its importance.”

In addition to leading the country's regional sales managers and working closely with travel partners, Kania will also be developing and implementing a strategic and marketing plan to align with NCL’s growth strategy. Kania will report to Derek Lloyd, VP of North American sales, based in Ontario, Canada.
