Open Jaw's Karen Dahdah was on location in Curaçao to see the all new Sandals Royal Curaçao firsthand. This is the 16th Sandals Resort property in region, and the first-ever in the Dutch Caribbean.
Here's Karen's report from her first day at Sandals Royal Curaçao, including a video tour of her swim-up suite and the pool area:
In true Sandals fashion, we were greeted with warm and friendly staff upon arrival and the island's signature Blue Curaçao drink to kick off our stay. After a quick orientation and site visit of the property, media and invited guests were treated to a casual cocktail on the green at hole one of the Old Quarry Golf Course. Live music, traditional dancers and a test-drive of three gourmet food trucks serving local and international cuisine made for a relaxed wind-down as the sun set on our first day, 23JUN.
