The job applications might just break the Internet.

Sandals Resorts has announced that they're looking for a Caribbean Cocktail Critic to fly to the newest Sandals resort in Jamaica to, well, basically drink cocktails on the luxury resort's dime.

As part of a new pilot program, a discerning cocktail connoisseur (and their plus one) will travel (all expenses paid) to Sandals’ newest Jamaican resort, Sandals Dunn’s River, to closely collaborate with a team of expert mixologists to test and refine a selection of libations, from Island Punches to Skinny Cocktails and beyond.

It’s a program that’s bound to leave many Canadian cocktail enthusiasts both shaken and stirred.

“Do you consider yourself a cocktail connoisseur who can easily decipher the taste of a soursop from a sweetsop?” Sandals asks on its website. “Want to trade your morning commute for seaside views and a swim-up bar at an iconic adult-only All-Inclusive Resort in Jamaica? If the answer to both is a resounding ‘Yes!’ then we have a dreamy opportunity for you and a plus one to enter to win a 6-day/5-night all-inclusive vacation to the Caribbean.

“You’ll experiment with natural and local ingredients old and new, like coco water, Jamaican ginger, and maybe even a Scotch Bonnet or two,” Sandals said. “From skinny and zero proof cocktails to hand-crafted concoctions, a lucky winner and a guest will flame, flare and frost Sandals‘ newest poolside creations.

Sandals says its dream cocktail connoisseur must be willing to fully immerse themselves in Jamaica’s quintessentially Caribbean culture, Sandals style, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They also need to a team player who can collaborate closely with Sandals’ expert mixologists.

A fondness for Jamaica rum is preferred, but the lucky connoisseur also needs to be willing to try new spirits and flavour profiles.

Other qualifications are an ability to “think outside the box” about tantalizing cocktail creations, being able to thrive while working in a tropical setting and being in possession of a pair of swim shorts or swimsuit and, of course, sandals.

 Program Highlights:

  •  A 5-night all-inclusive stay for two at Sandals Dunn’s River, Jamaica, including:
  • Luxurious, beachfront accommodations in a Tufa Terrace One Bedroom Skypool Butler Suite – complete with your own dedicated butler, an in-room bar stocked with unlimited premium liquors; and a cocktail-making kit (for your spare time)
  • Roundtrip airport transfers
  • Meals at fine restaurants
  • Entertainment day & night
  • Land & water sports
  • State-of-the-art fitness center
  • Exclusive ‘Cocktail Flight’ tasting experience
  • Roundtrip tickets to paradise with airfare for two persons

The contest closes 05JUN at 23:59 p.m. Jamaica time.
