Goway’s 40th anniversary has been cause for celebration throughout 2010 and Bruce Hodge, along with his staff and supplier partners have been doing just that with a variety of promotions and events in Canada, the U.S. and Australia – all culminating in big 70’s themed parties in Sydney, Toronto and Vancouver.
In Toronto, at the Liberty Grand, Bruce led the celebration of enthusiastic staff and guests all decked out in psychedelic regalia - trademark beer in hand. Someone venturing upon the scene may have thought they’d arrived at a Sly & The Family Stone Fan Club reunion.
We were all treated to a retro party of generous proportions rarely witnessed over the past few decades. Champagne flowed, a delicious dinner was served and the music rocked. Bruce was quick to point out that he couldn’t have reached a 40th anniversary without the dedication of Goway staff and suppliers.
Bruce and Claire’s 1st baby has grown into one of North America’s largest long haul tour operators with revenues of more than $160 million and a staff of approximately 250. Special relationships were celebrated, anecdotes were shared and the dancing was groovy baby!
So much fun and so much history!
