SkyLink President Yuvraj Datta and Marketing Director Shanaz Pithawala welcomed a ballroom full of agents to their Spring Roadshow at the Woodbine Convention Centre this week with a new trick up their sleeves. And they’re pretty sure that agents are going to be impressed with their just launched TripPro.

Along with a selection of SkyLink’s airline partners and special destination partner, the Mexico Tourism Board, specially invited travel agents had the opportunity to chat with representatives during the pre-presentation trade show and we all received quick product updates from each rep before an extensive buffet dinner was laid out.

  • Mexico is launching their new campaign “Live It To Believe It” because there’s so much diversity in Mexico to explore and enjoy
  • AC announced their Premium rouge seating option as well as the launch of 3x weekly mainline carrier service YYZ-IST starting 04JUN
  • TK is spreading its wings everywhere – they already fly to more destinations worldwide than any other carrier and are continuing to add new destinations and frequencies
  • TACA/Avianca will be operating as one brand under the AV code with effect 28MAY
  • LO is the 1st carrier to start operating their Dreamliners to YYZ again – they’ll start phasing in the 787s to their sched immediately
  • ET is also bringing their Dreamliners to YYZ with their Tues & Sat services – and are adding a 3rd weekly flight on Thursdays.

SkyLink’s Sandeep Mamagain stepped up to provide a quick rundown on their new TripPro agent tool and it is very innovative. TripPro allows agents to work in either the Sabre or Amadeus GDS environment or within SkyLink’s IBE – the choice is up to the user. But, that’s only the beginning, TripPro is a full processing tool for managing client bookings and communications.

It allows agents to compare consolidator fares, make and mange bookings, communicate those bookings directly to their clients, invoice and ticket. It was so straight forward, even I could understand why they’re so proud of this new system. It also allows agencies to manage their mark ups across all of their agents and carriers. TripPro is free to agents with a minimum of 4 monthly bookings or at a fee of $19.95/mo. You can also give it a free whirl. Let us know what you think.
