A “new” tour operator is circulating the Ontario trade scene and wooing agents with its charming French accent. No, it’s not Transat President & CEO Jean-Marc Eustache, but good guess… It’s TMR Holidays, a recently added division of Transat, with their launch into the province after serving Quebec exclusively for the past 40+ years.

Louise Fecteau, TMR’s V.P. of Sales & Marketing, and recently appointed Commercial Director to Ontario, Vicki Ioannou Theophilou, are leading their team across 5 cities in Ontario and whispering sweet nothings of sunny southern destinations at each of the presentations. TMR’s Ontario portfolio currently includes Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, departing from YYZ and YOW.

“We decided to launch in Ontario because we wanted to increase Transat market share and because we have something different to offer,” said Fecteau at the 1st event of the series held at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Toronto. “What differentiates us is our Companion Concept.”

TMR’s Companion Concept is designed to give clients added benefits such as cancellation protection, resort credits, excursion discounts and 50% off Park N’ Fly Valet, just to name a few. As an agent, you also benefit by earning extra commission – commission on fuel surcharges and service fees, plus an extra $20 per passenger. Just book a package at 1 of the 42 hotels listed in the Companion Concept collection, at least 60 days prior to travel and voilà, your clients get travel perks and you generate more revenue.

“We want to be the companion of the traveller and the companion of the travel agent,” said Fecteau.

“It’s all about the experience and the Companion Concept offers an enhanced vacation experience to the consumer. This is the differentiated experience that you’ll have with the TMR product,” said TMR President Anna Malito.

With the winter booking season upon us, TMR wants to be an eligible candidate for your clients who are seeking true travel companionship.
