With the endless options Mexico has to offer, it can be difficult for a small, independently owned resort to gain exposure in the somewhat overcrowded market. However, Riviera Nayarit’s Marival Resorts & Suites doesn’t seem to have that problem. What’s their secret? Well for one thing, timing is everything.

For instance, Bea Barbero, Sales Director for Marival Resorts & Suites, and Transat Holidays with Nolitours, hosted a dinner event at Toronto’s Crush Wine Bar for approximately 40 guests this Tuesday... Just in time, before snowbirds rush south for the winter. According to Steve Brown of Transat Holidays, Barbero gave Transat a call just a week ago and the entire function was pulled together last minute. “Considering the short notice of the event, it says a lot about the product when all these agents show up wanting to learn more about Marival,” he said.

“Marival is not as well known as some of the bigger chains like RIU and Barcelo,” said Amanda Mulugeta of SellOffVacations. “For people calling in who don’t know what they want, I need to learn more about the product so I can give them more information.”

“Now that it’s a good time to book, we want Marival to be top of mind,” said Barbero. The Marival portfolio includes 2 resorts – Grand Marival & Suites, which is part of Transat’s Distinction Collection, and the Marival Residences & World Spa, which is listed under Transat’s Luxury Collection.

So why should your clients choose a Marival property this winter? According to Barbero, 50% of their guests are Canadian and being a Canadian-owned hotel is a nice draw. For clients travelling with the entire family this holiday season, Marival was one of the 1st all-inclusive properties that introduced family suites – suitable for 2 parents and 3 children. Plus, booking either of the properties under the Distinction or Luxury Collection gives your clients some added benefits, upgrades and extra inclusions.

Both Marival properties are located 12-16 km from PVR and Air Transat will offer 2 seasonal flight per week from YYZ effective December 21st.
