It was a warm welcome on a chilly night as the gang from the Globus family of brands held an Open House in Toronto to celebrate their new digs.

Some 40 members of the industry, including key retailers, tourist boards and members of the media came along to have a look at the spacious new facility, located in one of the office towers at the corner of Bloor Street West and Islington in the city’s west end. The company had previously been located – for over 2 decades – in an older low-rise building in the Eglinton and Bathurst area.

Staff reported a definite uptick in morale based on the new site, which features lots of natural light and state-of-the-art technology. As managing director Stéphanie Bishop and her team showed visitors the new facilities, it was clear that all are taking great pride in the address. “To us, the new space is a reflection of the new vitality the Globus brands have seen over the last few years. The company continues to grow in the Canadian market and we’re seeing very strong sales already in 2014. And, let’s face it, having a comfortable physical space is so important to a good working environment.”

Some 50 staff presently work out of the new facility (there are also several on-the- road BDMs across the country), which is now the Canadian home for Globus, Cosmos, Monograms and Avalon Waterways.
