Air Canada Vacations' Winter Awaits
with Suzanne Christie

Just as I am finally getting oriented to the possibility of an actual summer, Air Canada Vacations wants to ensure that we are aware our perfect winter getaway awaits us and we should get planning sooner than later.

To that end, they invited some of their special partners to celebrate the launch of their 2014/2015 Sun and South America, Asia & South Pacific collections last week at Toronto’s Old Mill.

The mini-launch precedes the full series of 42 launch events ACV will hold across the country.

While the South America, Asia & South Pacific brochure provides samples of potential packages, all of its product is customized dependent on the clients’ preferences and they will match all competitors on price and commission.

The Sun brochure is an entirely different exercise. There are an enormous number of choices that can be assessed not only based on destination, resort brand and price but also on preferred vacation style and rankings for your clients’ 8 most important vacation “must haves”: beach, water sports, mini club, fitness, spa & beauty, entertainment, restaurants and pools.

ACV’s aggressive EBB’s and other program highlights are described in detail in Open Jaw’s Get More of What You Want Headliner for Air Canada Vacations.

With the 1st full season of ACV offering Air Canada Rouge flights on much of their product, there will be considerably more lift to Las Vegas – 65% more – due to the introduction of the Rouge 767 to/from YYZ from the end of October. As Denise Graham, ACV’s General Manager, Sales Ontario & Western Canada explained, that extra lift provides a far greater opportunity for ACV to handle groups to the popular party and meeting destination.

At the same time, the YYZ-BGI route will switch back to the mainline AC product.

With ACV’s bonus commission offer, EBB’s, Price Guard and Privileges programs, there is an awful lot for agents to familiarize themselves with, but also an awful lot of thought has been put into helping agents ensure their clients get exactly what they want in a vacation – which will certainly make for happy clients and happy agents when winter does roll around again.
