It was sunshine,
fine wine and food sublime at Taste of Toronto 2015. On Friday evening, Delta, a major sponsor of the
event, invited 50 travel media, tour operators, industry partners and agents to
experience the sights, smells and tastes from their VIP tent.

“It's a great way for Delta to be associated with a great
event and to showcase our Delta hospitality and brand," said Steven Larkin,
Director Sales, Canada. “Tonight is about having a good time -- and good food,
of course."

Located in Fort
York, Taste of Toronto attracts upwards of 20,000 visitors across four days
from 2 – 5 July. Featuring world-class chefs, Toronto's top restaurants and
over 70 exhibitors, this is foodie heaven. Inside Delta's VIP tent, we sipped
champagne while we chatted, perched on white leather couches adorned with
striking red and blue Delta cushions. Smiling flight attendants greeted guests,
who were relieved to have a place to sit and relax amidst the excitement.

Outside was the collective ecstasy of a festival dedicated
to feeding body and soul -- from the tables on the lawn of the VIP tent, we
could see the Taste Theatre, where highly-esteemed chefs let you in on their
trade secrets. Music wafted in the air from another part of the grounds and crowds
of happy folks passed by, eating everything from shrimp toast with truffles to
paella to corn on the cob. Wineries, microbreweries and cideries offered the
chance to compare and contrast the best of their fare.

Looking around at those laughing, eating and drinking at
Delta's VIP grounds, I understood why this pairing made perfect sense. Taste of
Toronto offered a chance to experience food and drink from far and wide, with
something to suit each one of our preferences. Delta does the same, offering
the way to experience whatever destination suits your fancy --- with a smile
and a glass of champagne for toasting as you set out on your
adventure.
