Open Jaw was on hand for the Humber College Travel Trade Show, as travel industry members of the future presented a wide range of destinations to their fellow students in a mock trade show that attracted hundreds of visitors over a couple of hours.

Among the faculty members at Humber are a couple of familiar faces to the Canadian travel industry: Brent Carnegie, a 30 yr. veteran of companies including Thomson Vacations, Alba Tours and Conquest Vacations along with Doug Patterson, who spent nearly 30 years with The Travel Corporation Canada before joining Collette recently as its Canadian President.

Air Canada helped bring in traffic to the trade show by offering 2 tickets to LGW on rouge. Steve Goodfellow, Director of Sales Eastern Canada was on hand for the event, as were other industry executives, including Sonia McKeon, Director of Marketing & Supplier Relations for Uniglobe Eastern Canada; Kathryn Hennessy, Supervisor, Operations -- Documents, Traveller Services for Globus family of brands and Ron Lonsdale, Director of Strategic Partnerships – Canada for Collette.

Participating students were part of Humber’s 2 year Tourism Management – Travel Industry Services program.
