On Monday, November 29th, at 4:30 pm, the official inauguration of the first Club Med in Canada, Club Med Quebec Charlevoix, took place, Presided by Premier François Legault and Henri Giscard d'Estaing.

"It's so nice to be here! It feels like a Club Med!"

It is with this playful comment and a contagious good mood that the Premier of Quebec François Legault began his speech.

"I have travelled a lot in my former life, and I have always said that Quebec is one of the most beautiful places in the world. And within Quebec, the most beautiful region, for me, is Charlevoix," said the Premier before a packed Club Med Theatre.

A seasonal advantage...

"In tourism, the challenge is outside the summer. We make a lot of money in the summer, but we lose a lot the rest of the year. So, to have activity in the winter but also in the spring and fall, that's something that's always sought after in the tourism field.

A proud Club Med President, Henri Giscard d'Estaing, took the stage: "November 29 is a great day for Club Med. Against the backdrop of a global pandemic, we have succeeded in building a new jewel in less than three years and will welcome our first customers on December 3.

"We have been present in Montreal for over 40 years, and our Canadian clientele is very loyal to Club Med. Our Canadian GOs are among the most appreciated for their professionalism but also for their cheerfulness.

We are delighted to inaugurate this Club Med in a region that has everything our most demanding clients could dream of.”
