On 17JUN, France moved Canada to its green list for entry for non-essential travel. Canada was previously on the country’s orange list.

With this move, fully vaccinated tourists from Canada are now able to visit France without the requirement of showing the results of a PCR or antigenic test, and will no longer need to provide a compelling reason to enter France.

Travellers who have not been vaccinated, or are only partially vaccinated, are still required to produce the results of either a PCR or antigenic test that was taken within 72 hours before their departure.

“Atout France and French destinations are delighted with this good news that will make it easier for Canadians to travel back to France this summer,” said Mélanie Paul-Hus, Director for Atout France in Canada. “With the new flight schedules announced by the airlines, and hopefully the upcoming relaxation of the quarantine on return to Canada, fans of France and its overseas regions will be able to plan their future trips at their own pace.

“For several months now, France has deployed a sanitary protocol that allows travellers to feel secure and offers visitors improved experiences and many new attractions,” she added.
