Ottawa: Fully Vaxxed Int’l Visitors ‘Soon;’ No Unvaccinated Tourists “For Quite a While”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated during a press conference that the federal government isn’t planning to open Canada’s borders to unvaccinated travellers anytime soon.

"That's not going to happen for quite a while," Trudeau told reporters. "We're not quite out of this pandemic yet. We still have to be careful, we still have to be vigilant."

On the other hand, government officials have stated that the restrictions banning fully vaccinated international tourists from entering the country will soon be coming to an end. However, no date has yet been announced for when this restriction would be lifted.

Travel restrictions between Canada and the United States preventing all non-essential trips, including tourism, are also set to remain in place until at least 21JUL.
