JOINING PORTS TO THEME PARKS

Brightline Rail Service From Miami to Orlando Begins 22SEP

Brightline's railway service is on track to whisk vacationers from Miami’s beaches and cruise ships to Orlando's theme parks.

The company announced the commencement of its intercity rail service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) starting on 22SEP 2023. Travellers can now connect between South Florida locations, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to Orlando.

In a statement, Patrick Goddard, the President of Brightline, said, "Opening Orlando fulfills our ultimate business model. We have seen incredible enthusiasm from the business and tourism industries eager to travel between Central and South Florida."

For a limited introductory period, travellers can purchase one-way "SMART fares" at USD $79 for adults and USD $39 for children. The SMART service includes luxury with business-class hand-stitched leather seats, complimentary Starlink WiFi, multiple power and USB outlets and a diverse range of food and drink options.

A "PREMIUM fare," starting at USD $149 includes a dedicated lounge, priority boarding, checked luggage and free snacks and drinks during the trip.

In addition to its premier rail service, Brightline has introduced Brightline+ in Orlando and South Florida. This service, accessible through the Brightline app or website, is designed to facilitate transportation to and from stations via pre-booked Uber rides, shuttles, or neighbourhood electric vehicles. Complimentary Uber rides are offered within a five-mile radius for premium-booked guests in South Florida.

For those affiliated with the travel sector, special discounted and commission-based rates are available.
