Patricia Di Benedetto, Explora Journeys' Business Relationship Lead in Canada

Explora Journeys, the upcoming, small-ship luxury division of MSC Group, has appointed Patricia Di Benedetto as its Toronto-based Business Relationship Lead in Canada.

Patricia has more than 17 years of experience in building retail and hospitality brands. She was most recently a Strategic Accounts Manager for Royal Caribbean International. Previously, Patricia was Director of Merchandising and Marketing Operations for Reebok and was also employed by Adidas before joining the cruise industry.

In her new role, she will report to Aimee Price, Head of Sales West USA and Canada.

Explora Journeys' first vessel, EXPLORA I, will debut in MAY, 2023, sailing from Barcelona, Spain to Athens in Greece. In her inaugural year at sea, EXPLORA I will visit 132 ports in 40 different countries. Itineraries include the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the United Kingdom,

Iceland, Greenland, Canada, the East Coast of the USA, the Caribbean Sea, South America and Hawaii.

Sailings start from six-night voyages and culminate in an epic 44-night Northern Europe Grand Journey.

Explora Journeys' second ship already under construction, will be launched by 2028. Equipped with the latest environmental and marine technologies, Explora Journeys will introduce a modern style of transformative ocean travel. EXPLORA I offers 461 ocean-front suites, penthouses and residences designed to be ‘Homes at Sea’ for guests, all with sweeping ocean views, private terrace, a choice of ten distinct culinary experiences, nine indoor and outdoor bars and lounges, four swimming pools, extensive outdoor decks with private cabanas, wellness facilities, and refined entertainment.  Inspired by the company's European heritage, Explora Journeys will provide guests with an immersive ocean experience respectful and intuitive hospitality.

The company recently announced an order for an additional two luxury ships powered by hydrogen fuel to take its fleet from four to six ships.
