Seven Canadian travel agencies have joined Virtuoso, the luxury consortium has announced. Virtuoso’s newest Canadian agency members are:

  • BST Vacations/Blowes & Stewart Travel Group Ltd., Peterborough, ON
  • CWT Harvey’s Travel, St. John’s, NFLD
  • Groupe Voyages VP, Montréal, QC
  • Kerrisdale Cruise & Vacation Travel, Vancouver, BC
  • Omega Travel Service Ltd., Vancouver, BC
  • Vacances Le Faubourg, Boisbriand, QC
  • Victor Travel, Concord, ON

“Affiliation with Virtuoso allows our members to build relationships with the world’s best travel providers and bring stronger value and more elevated travel experiences to Canadian travellers,” said Úna O’Leary, general manager, Virtuoso Canada. “We are honoured to welcome these outstanding travel agencies who share our commitment to excellence.”

Members gain access to Virtuoso’s preferred partner portfolio, which includes more than 2,300 hotels and resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies and premier destinations.

The consortium says its sales and marketing initiatives, coupled with professional development program, attract new agency members as well. Wanderlist, Virtuoso’s "travel dreaming and planning site," furthers advisor-client engagement, the company says, and represents a pipeline worth more than USD $150 million in future travel bookings.

The network’s combined annual travel sales add up to USD $28-32 billion and allow the group to negotiate benefits for clients including complimentary hotel upgrades, daily breakfast and personalized amenities, as well as additional perks that enrich the overall stay, such as private airport transfers, special dining experiences and spa treatments.  Through the Virtuoso Voyages program, advisors can offer  benefits to their clients on select cruises including a dedicated onboard host, plus their choice of an added-value benefit.
