Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) organized an exclusive familiarization trip for a group of owners and travel professionals from its network to discover Scenic Group's luxury fleet.
The TDC team went from river to ocean as they sailed on the “Gems of the Danube” itinerary, and were the first Canadian agency to experience Scenic Eclipse II.
TDC FAM trip highlights included:
- Being welcomed aboard Scenic Amber by Juna Ueda, GM Sales for Scenic Group Canada
- Sailing a seven-night river cruise along the Danube River with stops at Regensberg, Passau, Linz, Melk, and Durnstein
- Visiting to Salzburg or Cesky Krumlov, biking along the river, and a private concert by Vienna Imperial Orchestra at Palais Liechtenstein
- Touring Budapest during the UEFA football finals
- After the cruise, the group visiting the Scenic Eclipse in Malaga, Spain
- Attending the ship's naming ceremony with Scenic Group Chairman Glen Moroney and Dr. Kathy Sullivan as the ship's Godmother, a NASA astronaut, geologist, and oceanographer
“The christening of Scenic Eclipse II by her Godmother was made even more special as we were able to share the moment with our valued travel partner Transat Distribution Canada,” said Ueda.
The FAM is one of 11 trips offered by TDC to its members in 2023.
