According to the latest survey results released by First in Service Travel LTD (F1S), Montreal is the new top domestic destination that F1S advisors across Canada are booking.

The survey asked F1S advisors to name the three top domestic destinations they are booking for 2024, and 58% indicated that Montreal was among the most popular. This marks a significant shift from last year's survey results, where Vancouver was the top domestic destination for 2023. However, Vancouver still managed to secure the second spot with 42%, followed by Calgary (33%) and Toronto (17%).

Despite Vancouver's drop to second place, British Columbia remains the most popular province among F1S advisors' clientele. 67% named British Columbia as a top destination or cited Tofino, Vancouver, and Whistler.

The province of Quebec secured the second spot with 58% due to Montreal and Quebec City's popularity.

Alberta is third with 50%, with Banff, Calgary, Edmonton, and Lake Louise all named.

"Montreal is a beautiful place that is easy to navigate," says F1S advisor Jessica Donath. "It is like our very own European city!"

According to Fernando Gonzalez, F1S CEO, Montreal has always been a standout city among major North American cities.

"In addition to receiving accolades from Lonely Planet, Montreal was also named one of the safest cities in the world by Berkshire Hathaway," Gonzalez added.

F1S advisor Michelle Green notes that the allure for her clients is Montreal's "culture, food and arts," while F1S advisor Jay Rabinovich attributes its popularity to the "city vibes and culinary experiences."
