Travel industry veteran Cheryl Carter has been named Head of Global Markets of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. following the departure of Petra Roach, who was also interim CEO, from the role.

Carter was BTMI’s VP for Canada until 2014, a position she held for 13 years, when she was appointed to Director for the UK market.

Roach has taken on the role of director of the Grenada Tourism Authority.

The BTMI Board says it has expedited its recruitment of a CEO.
