ACTA Opens Registration for 2021 Canadian Travel Industry Summit; Award Nominations Also Open

ACTA has announced that registration is now open for its 2-day Virtual Travel Industry Summit. Travel agents, independent travel agents, travel agency managers, owners and leaders, consortia partners and host agencies are invited to attend.

The event will be taking place virtually on 30SEP and 01OCT 2021. Those wishing to register for the event can do so using this link.

The 2021 Virtual Travel Industry Summit will include keynote speakers, updates from government and industry leaders, as well as opportunities to network. The event will also include a virtual trade show with exhibitors, prizes and more. Those attending have the opportunity to learn more about all areas within the Canadian travel industry, learn from subject matter experts about topics that impact travel businesses, gain insight on Canadian and international travel trends, learn about opportunities at the tradeshow, and have the potential to win prizes.

“We are inviting everyone to join ACTA on 30SEP & 01OCT 2021 as we connect the Canadian travel industry and explore a whole new world of travel,” said Wendy Paradis, ACTA President. “This is a great forum to re-connect, reset and rebuild the travel industry on the road to recovery.”

Annual ACTA Awards

ACTA will also be recognizing travel agent and travel agency leader excellence at the Virtual Travel Industry Summit with its annual ACTA awards. According to ACTA, the awards will highlight a number of nominees who have contributed to the Canadian Travel Industry through advocacy. The travel industry is invited to nominate colleagues and fellow travel professionals.

This year, ACTA will be accepting nominations for the Gerald Heifetz Trailblazer Advocacy Award in light of the COVID-19 pandemic that continues the Canadian travel industry and the world as a whole. Recipients of the Gerald Heifetz Trailblazer Award and the Maguire-Wamsley CTM Award will be announced at the Summit.
