Royal Caribbean Hits Post-Pandemic Milestone: 1 Million Pax Sailed Since Cruise Restart

Royal Caribbean has achieved a new milestone, with 1 million guests sailing on the cruise line's ships since its return to service in 2021.

In an email to consumers and travel partners, Royal Caribbean published a "by the numbers" graphic of the milestones the cruise line has achieved since restarting service from the U.S. in JUL 2021.

Since then, Royal Caribbean has seen:

  • More than 1 million guests sailed
  • 28,453 crew members back at sea and fully vaccinated
  • 21 ships back at sea
  • 146 ports of call
  • A return to 24 home ports in total

The cruise line's private island of Perfect Day at CocoCay as also seen:

  • 502,441 guests
  • 257 stops
  • 1,500 helium balloon flights
  • 6,500 zipline trips
  • 80,070 visitors to Thrill Waterpark
  • 55,500 guests at Coco Beach Club

Royal Caribbean highlights its health and safety commitments to guests which have enabled the cruise line to keep its ships healthy, with vaccination required for guests 12 and up, testing before sailing for guests 2 and up, and flexible cancellation, and more.
