The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) will host an Advocacy Townhall on 20JUN from 1-2 p.m. EST.

Guest presenter and senior accountant Mike Libbey will discuss ways that independent travel agents can organize their business to manage risk from future emergency events.

According to ACTA, Libbey's presentation will highlight important “lessons learned” over the COVID-19 pandemic and explore specific steps independent travel agents can take, in the case of renewed border measures. Attendees can have the opportunity to ask accounting questions and are encouraged to prepare these in advance.

Following Libbey’s presentation, Wendy Paradis, ACTA President and Avery Campbell, Director of Advocacy and Industry Relations, will review updates on ACTA’s advocacy priorities, including issues regarding the labour shortage and borders, followed by a Q&A.

The town hall is complimentary for all ACTA members. Non-members can attend for a CAD $25.00 fee, which will go towards a new ACTA membership registration in 2022.
