Trends, Opportunities and Action: ACTA Unveils Summit Speakers

ACTA has released details about some of the speakers and professional development topics at its in-person summits taking place in Toronto, Richmond, B.C., and Laval, Q.C. on 14, 20, and 28SEP respectively.

Summit speakers will explore new trends, opportunities and actions for travel agencies and advisors to "build back better," and include:

Keynote speaker Bruce Poon Tip, CEO, G Adventures, global leader in social entrepreneurship, immersive travel, innovation and executive producer of the 2022 documentary film The Last Tourist, will explore Travel as a force of change. Passionate about the power of travel to change the world for the better, Bruce will examine important issues facing travel and tourism and empower the audience to appeal to a new kind of traveller and be inspired to sell new niches to existing clients looking to travel better. Rebuilding the Canadian Travel Industry – Together!  Join the discussion on how we build back better the Canadian Travel Industry. Leaders from some of Canada’s best known travel companies will discuss the challenges and potential solutions facing travel agents and tour operators, and how we can work together to build a stronger and more successful travel industry. Louise Gardiner, CTM, ACTA Board treasurer and VP of the Agency Solution by The Travel Agent Next Door will lead a panel of professional travel agents to explore how they survived the pandemic, revamped their business and are now thriving.  Travel agent colleagues from across Canada share how they survived the worst of the pandemic and revamped their business to thrive in our new normal. Ryan McElroy, CEO of Travel Agency Tribes will present an interactive session discussing modern technology tools that drive sales, efficiency, and customer engagement.
