The World Travel Awards has once again named Saint Lucia as the Caribbean’s leading honeymoon destination for the thirteenth time. The island nation was also crowned as the Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination for the first time.

“The Adventure Tourism and Honeymoon awards will only continue to place the destination in a class of its own,” remarked Hon. Guibion Ferdinand - Parliamentary Secretary of Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Tourism.

“This is a huge honour, but topping them both is a very fulfilling accomplishment. The value that our Saint Lucian people place on the tourism product is unmatched, and these awards will be used to inspire even more people to visit. We dedicate these awards to the hard work and resilience of the people of Saint Lucia.”

According to the country's ministry of tourism, Saint Lucia remains on travellers' bucket list because of its romantic appeal, diverse culture and warm hospitality.

Adventure seekers are drawn to scenic waterfalls, coral reefs, incredible nature trails, and therapeutic hot springs.

And lovers can fill their days with activities made especially for two and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Couples can experience luxury and romance at renowned resorts including Jade Mountain, Ladera Resort, Sugar Beach, Stonefield Villa Resort, Windjammer Landing, Fond Doux Plantation & Resort, Serenity at Coconut Bay, BodyHoliday, The Landings Resort and Spa, Cap Maison, Sandals Grande and many more.

Saint Lucia also offers lovebirds wedding venues beyond hotels. Couples can tie the knot on a yacht, lighthouse, botanical garden, private villa, plantation estate, or church - with the honeymoon beginning straight after the big day.
