New additions to Transat Distribution Canada's agent@home management team (L-R): Carol Thorne Regional Manager for the Ontario, Western and Maritime regions; Caroline Legendre, Regional Manager for Quebec; and Chantal Lalonde, Business Development Manager for the province of Quebec.

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) has expanded its agent@home program with new appointments to the management team.

Karine Gagnon, General Manager of TDC announced the appointments on 17OCT, welcoming Carol Thorne, a 30-year veteran of TDC, who is now the Regional Manager for the Ontario, Western and Maritime regions; and Caroline Legendre, an experienced travel professional, who has joined TDC as Regional Manager and will be responsible for Quebec.

“As regional managers, their role is to support the agent@home travel professionals in their respective region, to answer their questions, provide training, direct them to the right resources within the team. In the ever-changing world of travel, this supporting role for travel professionals is truly valuable," said Gagnon.

Gagnon also announced that Chantal Lalonde, who was "instrumental" in the creation and development of TDC's agent@home program, has been promoted to Business Development Manager for the province of Quebec. She will be working alongside Katrina Rourke, Business Development Manager for Ontario, Western Canada and Atlantic, who is responsible for the growth of TDC's agent@home membership.

“Our strength at TDC is that we can offer travel professionals all types of models, whether they wish to be full-time employees, franchise owners or independent contractors, and all this within a Canadian owned and fully bilingual organization. This puts us in a strong position by allowing all travel professionals in our network to evolve according to their needs and to market conditions, while still enjoying the benefits of being part of the leading network in Canada. In the end, all members profit from the learnings and programs developed in anyone of our business sectors,” said Gagnon.
