The "Happiest" Places to Travel in North America, According to Club Med

Labour Day traditionally wraps up a season of holidays close to home, and if one last, sunny, happy summer vacation is the goal, Club Med's Top 10 List of the 'happiest' places in North American to travel might inspire a last minute trip.

Club Med published a list of the top 10 happiest travel destinations in North America after compiling data from the 50 most visited urban destinations.

Its survey rated the cities based on nine factors: 'standard' metrics like crime, safety, and pollution, but also less expected factors, like the cost of domestic beer, number of outdoor activities, day trips, spa and wellness centers, how LGBTQ+ friendly the destination is, and the overall 'happiness score' of each cities on a scale of 0-100.

Las Vegas SignFamous party towns Las Vegas and New Orleans topped the list, with Sin City achieving an index score of 73.7. New Orleans was second on the list with a happiness score of 26.8.

Three Canadian destinations made the "happy" Top 10 list: Vancouver, Toronto, and Halifax, with Vancouver ranking highest among Canadian destinations and coming in at number 3, behind only the famous party cities Las Vegas and New Orleans.
