211% Growth In Available Seat Miles: Porter’s Significant Expansion

Porter Airlines has achieved remarkable growth in 2023, as revealed by aviation analytics firm Cirium. The Canadian carrier's available seat miles (ASMs) surged by 211% this year, attributed to the addition of the Embraer E195-E2 to its fleet.

Seat capacity also rose by 80%, with 2,628,873 seats available in 2022 expanding to 4,742,912 this year. Porter's fleet grew its route network from 18 destinations in 2022 to 28 in 2023. Porter plans to continue its trajectory by increasing frequencies in existing markets and adding routes from cities like Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax.
