Royal Caribbean announced that its first-ever world cruise, a 274-night voyage scheduled for late 2023, has sold 70 per cent of available bookings within a week of opening for sales. “Even we were taken aback by the unbelievable response of our loyalty members, the fact that in a week we were 70% booked on a ship that carries around 2,100 guests and is on a nine-month world cruise is just remarkable, and that's indicative of [the demand] we're seeing,” Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley said during the company’s third quarter earnings call. Bayley also noted the suites were booked with nonrefundable deposits.
