Canadian travel restrictions on African countries due to the Omicron variant have been met with criticism from many. Individuals online called the travel restrictions “absurd, nonsensical, and dangerous.” Others said that Canada’s travel bans were “racist,” citing that no travel bans were issued to European countries with Omicron cases.
