In another sign of the improving state of the air industry and Air Canada itself, the airline has prepaid loans of approximately $650 million from Canada’s Export Development Corporation (EDC) that it used to acquire 19 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, reports Skies Mag.
The prepayment, which is also subject to accrued interest, was made on 21JUN.
The move adds these planes to Air Canada's unencumbered assets, totalling around $5.4 billion, excluding Aeroplan.
