Air Travel into Canada has Doubled Since Quarantine Measures Were Eased on 05JUL

Air travel to Canada has more than doubled ever since the federal government eased quarantine restrictions for fully vaccinated travellers on 05JUL. According to data from the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), just over 42 thousand travellers entered the country by air between 28JUN and 04JUL. Between 05 and 11JUL, that number doubled to more than 86 thousand. Canada’s land borders also recorded an uptick in travellers between 05 and 11JUL at more than 109k. In the previous week, between 28JUN and 04JUL, only 83 thousand people drove into the country.
