Airlines Need to Prepare for More Extreme Weather Events

Airlines face increasing challenges due to extreme weather events caused by global warming, reports FlightGlobal. 

In JAN, United Airlines’ CEO, Scott Kirby, acknowledged the need for more flexibility to handle operational disruptions caused by insufficient technology infrastructure and other factors. Staffing challenges are becoming common concerns worldwide, exacerbated by the changing climate. Despite the airline industry’s focus on emissions reduction, the reality of climate change will compel them to address climate adaptation, the report said.
