Amadeus and Microsoft Want to Make Air Travel More Like Amazon Shopping

According to Skift, Amadeus and Microsoft have teamed up, aiming to make air travel as seamless and personalized as shopping on Amazon.

Their AI-powered system, Amadeus Nevio, simplifies the airline sales process, streamlining the purchase of airline tickets and coordinating services like airport lounge access.

By leveraging AI and personalization, it offers travellers tailored offers and anticipates and automates flight rescheduling. The system also eliminates the need for traditional check-in through biometric authentication.

While the airline industry has historically been slow to embrace such changes, Amadeus is encouraging airlines to adopt Nevio, potentially unlocking a USD $40 billion market by 2030. Airlines like Saudia and Finnair are already piloting the technology, with hopes to expand its adoption further.
