AmaWaterways Still Plans to Sail in May, Despite Vaccine Speed Bumps

Though AmaWaterways president and co-founder Rudi Schreiner has concerns about Europe's rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, he says the river cruise line still plans to begin sailing in MAY in Germany if restrictions allow. Another chief concern is when European countries will open borders to one another, he said. Other sailings have been suspended until the end of MAY, but Schreiner believes JUL or AUG sailings are "a possibility." Next year, he said, is proving to be "incredibly strong," with bookings up some 60 per cent over 2019.
