Americans Prefer to Work with Travel Advisors

According to a recent survey conducted by Internova Travel Group, 79 per cent of Americans said they prefer working with a travel advisor over an online travel agency to plan an important trip. The survey also reported that younger travellers are looking to travel advisors to help them plan their next trips, more so than other generations. Of the Gen Z responders, 52 per cent would consider booking a trip with a travel advisor in the future due to the pandemic. In response to the same criteria, 50 per cent of Millennials would book with an advisor in the future, and so would 39 per cent of Gen X respondents. Approximately three out of four Americans would prefer to work with a human being over a computer to access travel information that can’t be found online. 57 per cent of Americans prefer to work with a person to help them find travel discounts. The survey was conducted nationwide across the US between 03-7JUN 2021 among a sample of 1,190 adults.
