Bahamas Requiring Cruise Passengers be Fully Vaccinated

The Bahamas government has announced that its ports will require all cruise passengers 12 and over to be vaccinated for calls to the country, including private islands, which will take effect on 03SEP. Bahamas Prime Minister Hubert Minnis used an emergency powers order for this requirement on 19AUG. Exemptions to the requirement include crew, contractors and other non-revenue passengers and any passengers ineligible for a vaccine due to medical contraindications. Private islands for cruise ships in the Bahamas include Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at CocoCay, Carnival Corp.'s Half Moon Cay and Princess Cays, Disney's Castatway Cay, MSC Cruises' Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Norwegian Cruise Line's Great Stirrup Cay.
