Bahamas Will Require COVID-19 Tests for All Visitors, Regardless of Vaccine Status

The Bahamas has reinstated mandatory COVID-19 testing for all visitors, regardless of their vaccination status. Fully vaccinated travellers, as well as children from two to 11 years of age, are required to obtain a COVID-19 test (either a rapid antigen or a PCR test) taken no more than five days prior to arrival. Vaccinated travellers must still provide proof of vaccination. The new rules come into effect on 06AUG, but will be waived for anyone who has already obtained a Bahamas Travel Health Visa. Guests on cruises that originate in or return to the Bahamas must apply for the Visa and follow the testing requirements as outlined. Those entering the region on cruises originating from the U.S. are still subject to testing requirements put forth by the cruise line and approved by the government of the Bahamas.
