Breeze Airways Pitches USD $80 Flights from Plattsburgh to Florida to Quebecers

U.S. discount airline Breeze Airways is targeting Quebeckers with flights to Orlando from Plattsburgh, N.Y., costing USD $80 one-way (plus baggage fees), reports the Globe and Mail.

Launching the service at the end of NOV, CEO David Neeleman aims to entice Quebeckers to cross the border to use their service. Airlines near the U.S.-Canada border have historically attracted Canadian customers due to lower costs.

While Breeze primarily operates in less-congested secondary airports to maintain low fares, passengers pay an additional USD $80 for carry-on, checked luggage, and extra legroom. Breeze uses Plattsburgh International Airport, which is popular among Canadians, who constitute 60-70% of its travellers.
