British Airways Latest Airline to Trial IATA Travel Pass

British Airways is the latest airline to start testing the IATA Travel Pass, beginning this week on flights from LHR to GVA and ZRH. The app can be downloaded on mobile devices, where customers can create an account and be presented with entry requirements for their destination. British Airways customers can also book a COVID-19 test at an approved provider and have the results automatically loaded into the app. It will then check if the traveller meets the entry requirements for their destination and notify them if they are approved to travel. “We know that digital travel passes are part of the solution and they will also play a key role in offering those travelling the reassurance they need before they arrive at the airport,” said Sean Doyle, British Airways chief executive.
