According to a recent Ipsos poll conducted exclusively for Global News, inflation concerns and rising interest rates have had a "significant" impact on the holiday budgets of nearly 80% of Canadians.
The survey revealed that 77% of respondents do not plan on travelling during the holiday period, with more than half citing inflation as the reason. The increased cost of living also affects gift-giving, with three in 10 Canadians intending to spend less on gifts this year.
