Carnival Cruise Line Reveals New, Easier Muster Drill, Teases Dining Changes

Carnival Cruise Line has revealed some new details on what guests can expect when sailings resume. Brand Ambassador John Heald revealed on Facebook that “there will be no more large gathering safety briefings.” Before, passengers would gather in a large space until everyone was accounted for, at which point a safety presentation would begin. Now, guests will receive a muster station letter or number aboard the Hub App and boarding pass. Upon arriving at the designated muster station, Carnival crew members will verify the guests’ arrival. Afterwards, guests must go to their staterooms to watch the safety presentation “at some point before the ship sails.” The video will be narrated by Carnival’s Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal. Heald indicated this new system may last for long after the pandemic is over, providing it works well. Heald also hinted that Carnival’s dining system will be a little different, and that he would cover the topic further in the coming weeks.
