Carnival Cruise Line To Finally Restart Cruises from New Orleans

While Carnival’s restart from New Orleans did not go to plan due to Hurricane Ida, with its first two cruises cancelled, Carnival Glory will finally restart cruises on 19SEP. It was originally scheduled to resume on 05SEP, but was cancelled as the hurricane hit the city in late AUG. After it struck, New Orleans was under emergency management, closed the cruise terminal, and even now still has issues with its power grid. Carnival Glory will now kick off sailings from Erato Street Terminal with a seven-day Bahamas itinerary calling at Bimini, Freeport, and Nassau with three days at sea. The ship will also be sailing Caribbean cruises for the remainder of 2021.
