Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Holland America Cruise Lines Tightening Restrictions, Including a COVID-19 Test

Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the U.S., cruise ships are tightening their health and safety measures. Princess Cruises recently said it would be adding a mask requirement onboard as well as testing requirements for passengers before sailing. Holland America Line also followed by requiring passengers to wear masks and take a complimentary antigen test prior to boarding. Carnival Cruise Line also said it would require masks of passengers, regardless of vaccination status as well as testing. For Carnival and Princess, neither line will be responsible for testing costs and tests will not be available to the terminal. Royal Caribbean also said that it will require testing from non-vaccinated guests. These new enhanced health and safety measures will be in place until the end of summer or late fall, depending on the cruise line.
