Carnival, Royal, Celebrity Race to Evacuate St. Vincent Ahead of Volcano Eruption

Four ships from three cruise lines are rushing to St. Vincent to help evacuate residents who are under threat from the imminent eruption of Soufriere volcano. Carnival Cruise Lines is sending two ships, the Carnival Paradise and the Carnival Legend. Each ship will accommodate up to 1,500 residents, who will be transported to neighbouring islands which have agreed to offer refuge. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises are each sending one ship.
