The Cayman Islands has announced its plans to welcome back tourists to Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman using a phased reopening plan. The first stage, introduced in JUN 2021, reduced quarantine periods and other travel restrictions. During this time, fully vaccinated travellers must quarantine for five days, while unvaccinated ones must wait for 14 days. Phase two, to be introduced on 09AUG 2021, will ease more travel restrictions, including the removal of GPS monitoring. Phase three, to be introduced on 09SEP 2021, will allow for a limited introduction of tourists with secure verification of vaccination status. Phase four, to be introduced on 14OCT 2021, will remove quarantine requirements will be removed for all securely verified, fully vaccinated travelers. Phase five, to be introduced on 18NOV 2021, will welcome unvaccinated children under the age of 12 with no quarantine period. One the country has completed all five phases safely, it will have a grand reopening, to be assessed on 27JAN 2022.
