Chinese Cruise Market Could Reach 30M Guests by 2035

The China Cruise Shipping conference in Shenzhen provided insights into the future of the Chinese cruise industry, aiming for a robust 2024, reports Cruise Industry News.

Torstein Hagen, Viking's chairman, predicted the Chinese cruise market will host 30 million guests by 2035, targeting recovery to 2019 levels by 2025.

MSC Cruises China, led by Helen Huang, emphasized their readiness for a China restart, with MSC Bellissima set for a Shanghai debut. The shift towards direct sales channels and a balanced B2B strategy emerged as a notable trend, signalling industry evolution.
