Costa Rica will be updating its travel requirements as of 01AUG 2021. As part of the changes, all vaccinated travellers, including those under the age of 18, will be able to enter the country without purchasing travel insurance. Costa Rica will still require all tourists to complete its “Health Pass” at least 72 hours before their trip. “As vaccination advances in priority markets for Costa Rican tourism and to benefit the reactivation of international travel, it is important to make the requirements more flexible for individuals who do not represent a high risk (in terms of economic cost) of serious disease nor hospitalization for the State,” said Costa Rica Tourism Minister Gustavo Segura.
