Cruise Bookings Are So Hot That Some Lines Are Running out of Inventory

Unprecedented demand for cruises has resulted in fast-filling cabins, with some ships heavily booked through 2024, reports The Points Guy.

Carnival Corporation and Royal Caribbean Group, two major players, represent five of the six largest North American cruise lines. Their bookings show persistent growth, attributed to pent-up demand post-COVID-19 shutdowns. This surge has made cabin availability scarce, pushing many customers to book sailings as far out as 2026. The average advance booking has dramatically increased industry-wide, indicating strong sustained interest in cruises.
