Crystal Cruises Says it Has Repaid Nearly 80% of 2020 Refunds

Crystal Cruises said it has refunded approximately 80 per cent of fares owed for cancelled 2020 cruises and more than 75 per cent when including 2021 sailings through APR. The line said it has refunded a total of US$164 million to date. Throughout the pandemic, Crystal has been slow to pay refunds, leaving advisors frustrated and concerned for the future of the company, whose parent, Genting Hong Kong, has been mired in financial issues. The cruise line now says it expects that by the end of APR, 95 per cent of customer refunds will be complete.
